JUNE 26, 2022 GUESTS:
KATY DECOBRAY
Artist, cosplayer, and adorkable badass.
Based in Vancouver
BC, Canada, Katy DeCobray's origins are shrouded in mystery and
rumour. She first appeared at San Diego Comic Con in 2009 and has
been entertaining fans at conventions across the West coast ever
since.
Katy DeCobray is a master of intrigue and disguise,
creating costumes that draw from a variety of sources from comic
books to anime and video games, although she has a particular
penchant for personating villains in tight black spandex and
impossibly high heels.
You will most likely find her in the
center of attention, nerding up your selfies, and cursing her poor
choices in footwear.

JAMES LLOYD
James Lloyd is a Vancouver cartoonist best known as the regular
artist on the Futurama Comics title, for which he provided pencils
from the beginning of its run until its final issue in 2018.
He has since worked on comic projects for First Second
books and Boom! Comics.
He has worked in
Vancouver's animation industry since the mid-90's, returning
recently on the revamped Rocky & Bullwinkle and
Carmen San Diego series, and as background
supervisor on an as yet undisclosed title which will appear on
Family Channel soon.
James has also been involved with
Langara College's Graphic Novel and Comix program
as an instructor since 2017, and has held presentations, workshops
and mentorship programs throughout his twenty years plus of
drawing professionally. He hopes you like comics as much as he
does.
MICHAEL KLUCKNER
Michael Kluckner is the artist/author of many illustrated books
including 4 graphic novels, the latest being The Rooming House,
which follows a group of drifting 20-somethings in Kitsilano in
the 1970s. "Toshiko," his first graphic novel about the
Japanese-Canadian experience in the Second World War, is now in an
expanded second edition. He shows his formal paintings at a
Granville Street gallery.

ANDY COWAN
Andy Cowan is a self professed pretty old nerd (he remembers
William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton as Doctor Who, and not as
reruns!) and has been a fan of sci-fi since he was a kid. Andy
would watch and read just about anything to do with sci-fi, and
passed it on to his kids, especially the youngest. She really got
into anime and was always drawing, first on paper and then on her
computer. Probably linked to Andy's fascination with sci-fi is a
love of gadgets, which led to Andy creating line images on his
daughter's drawing tablet. Andy then turned the images into
something more substantial - eventually leading him to create pop
culture acrylic "hologram" lights and wooden panels as shown!
MIGUEL MOLINA
Miguel Molina is an illustrator/designer residing in Vancouver,
BC. His unique illustrative line art style brings a new dimension
to comic art. He looks to distill characters down to their inner
most important qualities in the elegance of his work. Each piece
is unique upon its own, be it either a hand-pulled limited edition
silkscreen poster or his small batch stained glass pins. Each
design he creates is a unique piece of art for any avid collector.
